<itunes:summary>We at Good Movies Gone Bad believe that just like with children, there is no such thing as a bad movie, just movies that have lost their way. Movies that are misguided, wayward movies if you will. What we do here is talk about where specifically movies have gone wrong and, more importantly, how they can be fixed. Spoilers will be deployed with reckless abandon as we try and get to the bottom of why good movies go bad.</itunes:summary>

When word hit the streets that a whole bunch of Hollywood tough guys were starring in the same movie, a movie which was written by none other than Rocky himself, action fans everywhere peed in their pants a little. What could be better than Jet Li kicking ass alongside Jason Statham kicking ass alongside Mickey Rourke kicking ass alongside the massive engorged behemoth that is Dolph Lundgren bludgeoning helpless mortals to death with this tree-trunk arms? A cameo by Bruce Willis? Got it. A cameo right next to that cameo by Schwarzenegger? Got it. Coming out of this movie we should’ve felt like we’d gone twelve rounds against a double-team of Frasier and Ali with an extra round of waterboarding to cool off. So if all the ingredients were there, what was missing? Leave it to GMGB to find the answer, while staking out a position on neck tattoos, pipes and just a what it takes to kill a man.

Alcoholism is no laughing matter. Unless of course you’re the heir to a billion-dollar conglomerate, in which case most of your actions have no real consequence and you are free to get involved in a variety of hijinks, usually involving copious amounts of alcohol and prostitutes. Welcome to the life of Arthur, who is played by ex-heroin addict, Russell Brand, reprising the role first played by raging alcoholic, Dudley Moore. With some authority on the subject, GMGB pours a stiff drink and reflects on Arthur the man and the movie, the value of quirk and Paul’s desire to shower with Helen Mirren.
